The objective of this redesign is to enhance Milner Library's usage by removing both physical and mental barriers, creating a more inviting environment that showcases university services and library resources to help achieve their full potential. This cozy, industrial adaptation of the library’s brutalist architecture features vibrant colors and raw, unpainted materials, offering a warm and captivating atmosphere that inspires motivation and engagement. Functional and welcoming service areas aim to library stigma, including an accessible reception desk, academic support hub, touchscreen catalogs, and seating/workspaces that cater to various heights and comfort preferences.
